NAME

kannad - send message on all console

SYNOPSIS

 kannad [--nobanner|-n] [--group|-g group] [--help|-h] [--version|-V] [message|file]

DESCRIPTION

kannad write a message to all users console (terminal) like the command wall. On modern terminal like under GNOME or XFCE (gnome-terminal...), the wall command do not work.

kannad try to stay compatible with the wall command option. The message will be read on STDIN if the file name is empty or -.

Kannad simply means message in Breton language.

OPTIONS

--nobanner

Do not send the banner with your message.

--group

Limit printing message to members of group defined as a group argument. The argument can be group name or GID.

The group must exists!

--help

Minimal help.

--version

Display version information and exit.
